Well I got one of those "made by Spyderco" Byrd knives. I had been wanting a Hawkbill knife for a while and foUnd the "Crossbill" and thought bingo.

The knife cost me $25 shipped, the box it was shipped in was nothing special, but I didn't buy it for the box.

The Cross bill is rather wide but sets flat in my pocket. The first time I opened it up it felt gritty so I put a little prolube on it and opened it about 20 times and it smoothed out. The handle could use something to give it a little grip where your thumbs, but it's not that bad.

I like the curve of the blade and it came sharp enough to shave. The blade locks up, but the lock release is a little on the stiff side.

Some think the a curved blade is pretty useless but for about 90% of the cutting I do, it works better than a droppoint or clip blade. If it was about an inch shorter I would be an EDC.
