Apparently Beretta has a contract with intergalactic defense forces.

Did you notice their CX4's were F/A and ejected .22 size blank...er.....bullets??

I coulda sworn they ejected a case larger than a .22. Looks like we'll see UMPs in a coupla weeks as well.

I don't watch the show but I will bet the episodes involving the CX4 Storms will be very A-Team like. I mean, who could ever get seriously shot? :neener:

The marines had FN P90s last season, but that just made them look like "Stargate BSG-1" so I guess they had to find another readily available, spacey looking rifle to fill their needs.

I never saw the Storm actually fire full auto, so I wondered if they didn't use the "A-Team" full auto where every round fired equals six gunshots? :D

They need to use the FN F2000! :D

BTW, Battlestar Galactica 2.0 is actually a pretty good show, against all odds. I mean, who would have though that a remaking of a cheesy 1970s Sci-fi TV show by the people who brought you "Mansquito" would result in a dark, smart, well-executed drama? I guess this is like "a negative times a negative equals a positive" type deal.

And yes, they use Storms and FN P90s (I don't think that the rounds they fire in the show are supposed to be the BSG equivalent of 9mm and the FN round, though. More like full-power rifle rounds, at least from the Storm). I have yet to figure out the sidearms, though. The one is obviously fake (the aircrew sidearm that Helo and Apollo use), but the others look real enough (the one Boomer uses, and also the ones the presidential security guys use).

I agree Coronach... an EXCELLENT series... I actually think it's the best they've done so far.

I hate most "SciFi Original" movies, but I have had much better luck with their series (FarScape for example ;) )

Here's the best picture I've seen of Boomer's pistol:

Have you noticed that they're running about 60-40, with the 60% having fingers OFF the triggers? That's not a bad ratio. Still, it only takes one director to say, "You numbnuts. We'll do this all day long until you give me a good take with your finger alongside the frame."

Boomer is hot.

I saw the Storms on the last show, brought a little chuckle. I hope the new season of Fargate SG-1 will be good. They finally put a hot girl on the show - did you see that leather outfit? Fantastic. Oh, uh, the guns are cool too

That pistol is that swoopy South African Vector. I don't recall the model number. Gas operated 9mm.

I miss that big ass hogleg they had in the original BSG. The impacts from that thing could light up the whole room!

I wish they had finally given the BSG itself something to do beside shuttle Vipers around. How the humans ever thought they could defeat a cyclon fleet with just personal fighters and carrier armed only with defensive weapons and a couple of nukes is beyond me. A spinal cannon that could punch big holes through Cyclon base ships would have been a nice touch and explain why base ships keep their distance and rely on fighters!

Let's keep the discussion on-topic. And besides, Galactica is elderly in the new show. She would not have the most up-to-date weapons. Err...yeah. On topic. Right. ;)

Is a redressed FN FiveSeven. With grip panels and that ugly underbarrel whatcamacallit!
