Im by no means a trained gunsmith, but here a few years ago, I'd taking up a hobby of redoing and cutom building 1911's.
Im about sure, most of us who owns firearms, makes mods to them and some times get carried away? :D

I might be wrong but I've never seen a revolver that looked like that. If you built it to be a revolver - you forgot the cylinder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Texas Gunman,
I have a CD (good base gun $ for $, IMO) much like yours! but with a Kart barrel, SVI firing system(hammer, trigger and sear), Bomar sights and Wilson magwell. I also have a 9mm 1911, built on a S.A. slide and Caspian frame(PO ramp) with Kart barrel, McCormick beaver tail safety, Doug Koenig hammer and Bomar sights. Most other parts are either Wilson's or Ed Brown's on both guns. I did most of the works except the sight cuts, I don't have a Lathe machine but a friend has, and he does it for me for a minimal fee. :)
Its fun to do and I feel a great sense of accomplishment when I get done. Right now I'm thinking of building a 10mm 1911 on a Mitchell frame from Sarco.
And yes, I do get carried away sometimes too!:)

PCRCCW,
Nice Khar! Who did all the work?
Man, I wish I have a digital cam so I can post pics of my toys too. :(
Maybe I should buy one instead of another gun.
