Has anyone else noticed that their 9mm brass is too short?

I have.
Ther brass was once fired, and I have found this with several names of brass.
What is up with this?

Goon,
If you are talking about 9MM brass in general, Max case length is 0.754! Most of my brass which has been fired several times measures 0.740-0.750". after resizing it. On the very rare occasions that I size my brass, I size it to 0.744"
I have no problems with any of this brass and it is all within spec's.
What is the length of your brass? Is this before resising or after?

As a rule, brass is usually manufactured slightly short, since a short case will not cause excessive pressure. If the case were made at maximum length and happened to get into a chamber that was just one or two thousandths of an inch short, it could cause an excessive pressure spike when fired.

That is what I mean.
The brass is way short, even after several loadings and firings.
...so it is made short so that it will never get too high of pressure...
I get it.
I guess I can't complain, because it means that I don't have to trim it. That is good, because it wouldn't be worth the effort with the 9mm.
I wasn't really worried, because I never got signs of high pressure.
I was just curious...

You'll probably never have to trim straightwall pistol ammo.
