I see on the Cor-Bon website that they are offering their ammo with Barnes X bullets. I know that Barnes makes outstanding bullets for hunting but I am unfamilier with their product in a commercially available pistol cartridge. Cor -Bon offers their DPX 38SPL +P with a 100 gr Barnes X bullet. The chart says that it runs at 1300fps @ 413ftlbs. Very impressive for a .38SPL.
Anyone tried these or can tell me a lttle more about them?
Thanks, John W.

I tried the standard pressure .38 DPX that Cor-Bon sold for a few months. It was rated at 1,200 feet per second.

It was accurate in everything I tried it in but often shot low. A bit noisy and a little flashy on the indoor range. It was easier to shoot in a 20 ounce stainless-steel M649 than in the 15 oz M38 (same basic design with the alloy frame).

I'd expect the +P version would be more of the same.
