I have a Sig 229 in 40 all that's needed to make it a 357 sig is a different barrell. Would it be the same for all forties particularry a Kahr? How different should I expect the recoil to be? Where would be a good place to purchase said barrell?

The 357 is just a necked down 40sw. Bar-sto makes awesome conversion barrels too.

Try going to EFKFiredragon.com. I purchased my 40 cal conversion barrel from them with porting and am very pleased with the quality and accuracy.
