Is it suppose to be one gun per form or can you put more than one since the space has a line for three?

Good. I bought 3 receivers today and it was the guys first time ever using his FFL. I knew more about the form than he did but I wasn't sure on that part. It's the first I've ever bought more than one gun at a time. I told him I thought it might be one form per gun but we saw the three lines and he just went with that.

Another somewhat related question: I'm guessing it's one NICS fee for each form than as well? I'm a registered CCW offender so we didn't have to worry about NICS but I'm just kind of curious. Also, what if you buy 4 or 5 guns at a time? Is it two forms and two NICS checks?

You have to do NICS once for each form.

ETA: I am just talking about federal law, your state may have other regulations.

Um, there were 4 lines on the 4473's when I worked at Wally World sporting goods. And on call to NICS did all four, if your paying a fee, its your state agency, not NICS. You needed more forms for more guns, but I was *told* that one call could do all the guns, you just had to tell the operator, and fill out enough forms for the guns. We didn't sell pistols, but if you bought 11 rifles 5 shotguns and 1 pistol, the call was for 17 pistols. The forms just have Long gun or Hand gun. Fed gov didn't know what guns you were buying, just those two catagories, instead of asking are you 18 or 21.
