Right now as I plan to get my permit, I'm considering options for carrying my 4" GP100 (not an ideal carry gun, I know, but it's what I've got). When it comes to concealing it, it seems like a 4-position holster such as this one (http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=137411) would provide options for carrying under an untucked shirt at SOB. Does anyone own one of these and can provide feedback? Additionally, while I know that SOB isn't a widely favorable carry location, what are some of the downsides to consider?

Preferably, this would be one of a few options, but right now it's the one at the top of my mind.

As long as the extra positioning loops don't increase the stand off from your belt (making it less concealable) it is an option. Though, myself, I'd use it to figure out your preferred carry style and buy a dedicated quality holster.

One big small-of-back criticism (whether well-founded or not) is the risk of falling on your back and injuring your spine. At 3-3:30 your bones are out of danger.

I carry my four-inch King Cobra (similar size/weight as your GP100) concealed often. I found the CABO to be outstanding both in terms of comfort and concealability.
