Does anyone know if Davis Industries is still in business.

This is the company that made or still makes inexpensive derringers in assorted calibers. I think they were out of California somewhere.

I did a net search for them but only found links to their guns.

TIA,
Rob

Thanks for the info Reed1911. Could you post contact info for them from one of the warantee cards that comes with a new gun?

Thanks in Advance,

IIRC Davis is one of the companies that was consolidated/bought out by Cobra. I used to have a Davis Derringer. Didn't shoot for poo, but it was kinda fun.

Just ran a quick check, sure looks like them.

I got one of their DM-22 derringers. The .22 Magnum version. Nothing wrong with it, except it sometimes will not extract. One has to do it manually by inserting a rod down from the muzzle.

This is not a problem for me as it always provides the 2 shots its supposed to. I figure for this type of a last ditch gun, I will not have time to reload anyway. So why worry about an extraction issue.

What's nice about it is that I can just drop it in my pants pocket and always be armed. This gun takes up virtually no room. Actually my key ring has more mass and weight on it than this gun.

But in case something else goes wrong with it I was hoping to get contact information for the company that made it.

Okiecruffler - your link takes me to the exact gun I have. I guess that Davis has been sold or bought out by Corba.

Regards,
Rob
