I thought the General did a magnificent job.
The oppostion to this military action becomes more laughable by the minute. The BBC and Rueters (and many other) reporters are clutching for anything that can be construed as negative. Just minutes before the press conference, a German reporter for Reuters was blaming the burning oil in Bagdad on US bombing. His logic was that the air raid sirens were going off, so it must be the US blowing up a refinery. He ate some humble pie on air a few minutes later when an Arab news source reported that thew Iraqi military had begun to set fire to trenches filled with oil.
Man, I am so tired of this crap. When this is all over, and Iraq is on a better course than they have been in thirty years or more, the Euopean, Chinese and Arab press will probably be focusing on the undo stress inlicted upon the nomadic herds of Iraqi sheep. :cuss:
