"Will he (Bush) keep in touch?" Idiotic reporter rant

Listened to Ari Fleishman's news conference yesterday. He stated Duyba was going to Camp David for the weekend. A followup question from one reporter was will he keep in touch (with events in Iraq). Well, dunno , Einstein, I think maybe Bush was going fishing today with Cheney, maybe doing a dinner theater tonight, told his aides to hold all calls and get rid of that annoying red phone. Do journalists take a "stupid question class" in college? Or just forego higher education? Plenty other stupid questions. I think I could be a journalist. :D

On the whole, this seems to me to be the absolute most stupid collection of reporters ever collected from the 'talking heads' to those in the White House press briefings to those who are in Iraq.
I might even get upset with them for being anit war and liberal except they are just so incredibly stuped they can't even be held responsible for having a personal agenda!

As long as it wasn't Helen Thomas asking the question....

With a little light observation and simple computation and discerning analysis regarding reporters, democrats, liberals, socialists, and peace protesters, other Marxists, Leninists and Communists in general, a person can drawl an obvious conclusion: The conjoining philosophy of these aligned groups REQUIRES an inability to observe and reason.
Reporters are trained in the philosophy of activist, Marxist, journalism (no reporting the facts) as templated by Columbia University School of Journalism in NYC. The Marxist manifesto requires, for it’s membership, those who think with emotionalism and who can not or will not observe the facts and acknowledge them to self and others. Thus they are incapable of reason or reasoned questions. Thus they are incapable of reasoned response. Thus they are incapable of reasoned, intelligent, analytical thinking and action in any area. This form of insanity is dangerous and thanks to our current media/educational/political influence on this nation – this deadly insanity is rampant and most well seen in the ranks of senior journalists who are the front line army of the socialist/Marxist democrats and other enemies of our Constitution and thus our country as it was founded.
The reporters are the advance troops, the expendable firsst contact and point-people for the enemy of the Founding Principles of this nation. President Bush is seen, by the communists (that IS the common religion they have) to represent these founding things; he is the enemy to those who hate our Foundaton, as well as his policies, plans, people, and principles. Thus they hate him and all about him.
Take a look; I think you will clearly see these things as well. The Bush folks are well aware that they are in the snake pit when they meet the reporters and they expect the venom, the strikes and hope to side-step the bites.

I know Camp David is rural, but I think, just speculating, that they have such things as telephones and computers.
Would they rather Bush be looking over General Franks' shoulder?
Of course, an inane question like that comes from the Left's notion that the paternalistic notion of government that they hold. "I want Daddy involved, boo hoo hoo."

I gotta say, journalists just seem to get progressively more stupid over the years. I've heard some stuff lately that makes my brain want to explode. I'm not even 30 yet, and I'm nostalgic for White House reporters that, while still leftists at heart, could every once in a blue moon come up with a question that wasn't totally moronotronic.
It must be the end of the world, because Sam Donaldson is starting to look like an intellectual titan compared to the folks shouting questions at Ari nowadays. :barf:

I heard Rush talk about this yesterday.
He couldn't beleive that a reporter would ask this!
Camp David is a milatary base (Marines I think),
I'm sure they have a phone there.

Is Helen Thomas still banished?
I hope so.

I didn't. For some reason I feel the need to disassociate myself from him.

Is Helen Thomas still banished?
Not quite. She's still around, and still gets a question or two, but she's been consistently marginalized at briefings.
I think they like having her to kick around.

The Stupid Question of the Day Award goes to the reporter who asked Ari if the President had seen "images" of bombs hitting Baghdad last night.
No, says Ari.
But how can the president not see the images? says the reporter.
The President does not rely on the media for his information says Ari.
The reporter was astounded the President of the United States does not rely on TV for his information.
Here we have the single most powerful human being on the planet does not get his information from TeeVee. It must not have registered with the reporter that the President can literally whistle up more information from more sources than any news media outlet.
One thing I notice lately is media representatives place far, far more value on "images" than "information." Its been my experience the information not in the form of an "image" is the really important stuff.
I just love Stupid Reporter Tricks.

While watching the bombing of Baghdad during lunch at work one guy commented that Bush was going to Camp David and said good time to take a vacation. I looked at him and thought his sneer was good enough to get him employed by the BBC and then remembered that he does live in Chicago so then I wasnt surprised that he said that. It is real hard not to slam such stupid comments but things have gotten heated enough at work with several people saying they hate this country. Funny - I dont see them burning those American dollars they are earning.

These folks are quite possibly the dumbest collection of hacks ever assembled. Ari does a magnificent
job swatting their tedious attempts at painting W as detatched, dumb, etc.
Helen Thomas is still there and he treats her for what she is...a doddering old leftist who couldn't report a fire.
FWIW...Imus was talking with David Gregory...also of the White House Press Corpse... and told him, 'why don't you leave the President alone and stop asking questions that are none of your goddam business.' :neener:

It would be kind of fun to see Ari Fleischer's (sp?) secret list of responses he'd like to give to stupid questions like that one. Things like:
"The President and his wife have ordered in 4 quarts of tequila, 2 gallons of mixers, 14 limes, a pound of salt, and enough Mexican food for three days, and asked not to be disturbed before Tuesday unless the problem involves more than a total of 32 megatons of detonations."
or
"We've always found that a day or two of jetskiing improves the president's outlook immensely."
