don't wait till late Aug or Sept or the pro shops will be lucky to get them back to you before season. Of course you knew this. Just can't help thinking about fall deer.... :) I'm gonna start practicing and doing 3-d tourneys when Aug 1 hits.

I had my Mathews Solocam Legacy in the shop today for new string and cables, new tubing for the peep, and a general checkover after 2 seasons (6 deer) and a few 3D shoots. Paper tested and shot some arrows inside in the airconditioned range cause it was 103 actual degrees outside with an oppressive 110 heat index. Also switched to a great new sight. I'm drilling 'em like bullets.
I need to break-in the new strings and get myself tuned up before Utah elk (cow/spike) on August 25th! I'll start scouting for those fat Illinois whitetails after I get back. Oct 01 will be here sooner than we think.

What sight did you have and what sight did you switch too?

I was stupid enough to go outside and do some shooting today in the 98 degree weather. After 6 arrows sweat was pouring off of me so I went inside.

I here you. I have been shooting for the past couple of weeks and the fall can not arrive soon enough.

If you are looking for a new sight, I switched to an HHA 5500, single vertical pin with 5 feet of fiber optic, a bubble level, and a painted pin guard and I am very happy with it. The pin is super bright and it feels very sold because of its all metal construction.

I switched from an Impact single fiber optic pin adjustable- nice sight and I may go back to it for Illinois treestand whitetail.
The new one is a highly visible, verticle 3 pin with gobs of fiber optic, all metal.
brand ??? (I'll have to look later) I was going to get the Trophy Ridge V-max but when I saw this, I liked it better. I thought it would be better for my upcoming elk hunt when 30-50 yard shots may be required and without adequate time to fiddle with an adjustable sight.
edited to add:
I remembered the receipt in my wallet but can't read it very well.
the new sight is "something (maybe Advanced?) Bow Gear"??

Yep, been slinging them for the last 2 weeks but just switched to carbons.

Now I'm retuning to accomodate the carbons.
