.22 conversion kit for Sig P226?

Somebody was asking me about a .22 conversion kit for the Sig P226 9mm. I'm not aware of Sig making one. Are there aftermarket conversion kits available?

Dick - i saw this item in one of the current month's gun mags.I was interested in it myself but forgot where i saw it. So it does exist, i am just wondering whether there are any adverse effects on the pistol for its original caliber, in my case 9mm.

Sig is making such conversions, you can even buy the pistol in .22 and send off for the slide;

Yes, it's a 220, but I think the 226 is done the same.

Sig makes .22 conversion kits for the P226, P220 and P228/P229. Just be aware that it may not fit with older West German P226s and P220s.
