I pride myself on being open minded. I've always liked 1911's. My first in the 70s was a Remington Rand. Until Colt lost all pride I had Colts. Now I find I have a Kimber Classic Custom, A Para C-7.45 LDA, A Kimber BP -10II, A Remington Rand. Of all the problems I have noticed the strangest is that nobody seems to have parts, other than mags, which cross over to somebody else's handgun.
Can anyone tell me or tell me where to look for what fits which? And vice versa. I have CmC mags that work great in the Custom Classic but don't fit anything else. And I don't even want to start on Para mags. I have 3 Para mags for it and 1 Kimber which also fits.
Anybody have a rule of thumb?
Thanks

If they are all single-stack 1911s any 1911-type mag should work in every gun.

Mags should be interchangeable. I have a Colt, two Paras and a Kimber. I have about a dozen mags, including CMC, Wilson and Tripp. I use all of the mags in all of my 1911s, and have never had any problems.
