Kimber Eclipse Target?

The two Kimbers that I have were made prior to 2000, so I don't know what the new Kimbers are like. After looking at the photo of ArmySon's boron carbide 1911, I realized that I need a pistol that looks something like that, but I don't have $5000.

So, the Eclipse Target is the next best thing.

But how are they in terms of reliability? What's a good price for a new one?

I played with an Elclipse Ultra at the gun shop today, and realized the first thing I'd do is send the gun back to the factory for a three-pound trigger.

All of this assumes, of course, that I continue to get work.

Your thoughts on the pistol?

I have had my eclipse target for about 8 weeks now and love it, I was impressed at how well the Blazer ammo worked, as of now I have 600 rounds fired and not so much as a bobble or hiccup. My trigger is about 4.5 pounds...

I've been looking at the Eclipses, too. Take a look at the latest catalog or the pics online--and then let us know when you stop drooling.
