Posters Note:

It didn't start with "baggage searches" on the NYC Subway System, and it won't stop there either. Read the linked article, and judge for yourself.

I really had no problem with the airport stuff until after the creation of the TSA. Perhaps I was wrong, but as long as it was a private company protecting another private company's asset that's fine. Once the government got involved then the 4th amendment comes into play.

Almost everybody is saying these random searches are a knee=-jerk reaction; something to make the politicans look like they're doing something. I just hope this country wakes up before it's too late. :banghead:

"Because His Majesty zips about town in a limousine,"Bloomberg actually rides the subway to work. Makes me wonder about his other "facts".

Bloomberg actually rides the subway to work. Makes me wonder about his other "facts".

Well, the comment does not mention going to work. Being a billionaire, I would suspect that Bloomberg does indeed "zip about town in a limousine" fairly often.

Yes he absolutely does have his limos, but the implication being made by the blogger is clearly that Bloomberg doesn't take the subway...
...he had to rely on his imagination to console commuters.I think Bloomberg is a horrible mayor, but that's no excuse for making things up.

I read up to the third paragraph and decided the credibility was too low to continue. Snottiness does not make intelligent arguement. It makes an impression of arrogant superiority.

I just took a quick look at the first 3 paragraphs, and frankly I do not see the "snottiness" you mentioned. Perhaps your eyes or senses are sharper than mine, perhaps it's a matter of taste or interpretation, perhaps a question of writing style, and personal preferences.

Just curious about this though, snottiness aside, do you think the writer had any valid points? Speaking personally, I submit that this airport "security crap" as with removing ones shoes has gone just a mite far. Then there are the remarks made by Commissioner Kelly, assuming that the quite was correct. Talk about "snottiness".

By the way, had you noticed that the bureaucrats down there at TSA are still slow-walking the arming of airline pilots program, actually that should be spelled REARMING.
