Hi all,

Have a couple of Polychoke choke tubes that I'd forgotten about when closing my Dad's estate some years back. Just found them, so... If you'd like them, just ask (1st ask gets) and drop me a check in the mail to cover my postage when you get them/it.

1st one is an adjustable Cutts compensator that opens and closes from full to open by Lyman. OK, color it gone.

2nd is a Lyman .755 choke (Dave is this open also?).

Both have some wear, but functional. Can't argue with the price! :D

Also - does anyone have an idea on what a Nydar NIB model 47 shotgun sight is worth? It seems complete - has leather sight cover for the frontfocal array and mounting screws + instructions.

TIA

Al,.755" is close to 10 gauge. Open it is.

Nydar, absolutely no idea. Haven't seen one of those for decades. Real curiosa. It's gotta be worth something, if only to the Smithsonian...

Yep, it's .755. Short and stubby, must have bee for quail or early season dove.

Still have the .755 tube. Anyone want it?

It only took seven years, but the .755 choke tube is gone as well.

And it will be much appreciated, I overlooked the year of the original post when I said I would take it. This is a PRIME example of why we are called COLLECTORS.

Thanks,
Al

Ahhh, zombie threads.

Standard bore diameter for a 12 gauge is .729", I'd say a .755 is a reverse choke.

There have been Nydars listed for sale on Gunbroker lately for around $150. Since they are prismatic and have no batteries, no tritium, nothing to wear out, they can work forever as long as nothing breaks. They came along in the mid to late 1940s.

The Nydar was an adaptation of a WW2 machine gun sight used on the flex guns on heavy bombers. It was pretty successful in that role...

How about $120 buy it now for the Nydar shotgun sight, its on ebay... Not my auction but this whole thing got me curious about the sight...

I think I might pick one up some time and mount it to my Ithaca 37 for some old school trap shooting.
