View Full Version : Collateral (movie) gun

For all those who have seen Collateral, I have a question as to the make of a gun. Actually, more like one-and-a-half questions:

First, the easy one. Is the USP a compact or full size? My guess goes to full.

Second, what is the gun used to stick up Max while he's tied to the cab? Someone on this board said Bersa, but I think it looks more like a Colt Pocket 9. Attached are some screenshots taken with a digital camera, so they're not great even though you don't get all that good a look on the DVD either...

Vincent's gun is a USP fullsize. Probably a 9mm.

I know one of the guns in that movie is a USP.

The gun that Vincent (Tom Cruise) uses throughout the movie is a HK USPf .45

He also uses a Mk II .22 to off the Jazz Bar owner.

Not sound too snobby but isn't a SIG 232 a little upper-class for the dirt bag Cruise eventually practices the Mozambique on?

My first thought was "Bersa Thunder", even though you don't get a terribly good look at the gun.

Maybe he stole it.

Looks PPKish, to me in those pics. Bersa/Walther. I saw the movie but didnt' pay close attention to the gun the alley perps had. I was curious about Cruise's weapon, though.

What Cruise's character steal from the cop in the lobby?

The USP he uses throughout is 100% a full-size .45. There have been extensive threads about this on hkpro.com. Clearly a full-size, and you can see the metal mag at one point and even the serial number in one screenshot which has the 25 prefix indicating a .45.

Look at how wide the serrations are in the screenshot, its definatly a 232/230, and yeah its pretty highclass for a streethood.

What Cruise's character steal from the cop in the lobby?

It was a full size S&W auto of some kind.... I haven't seen the movie in a while, so I can't be sure which model. I believe the safety lever was stainless, not blued/black, so I'm guessing the gun was either a 910S or a 410S.

Still, I could be mis-remembering, and it could have been some other model. *shrug*
