Time for water cannons and rubber buckshot

RANT ON----
Ok, now it's enough! There's been enough street blocking and money spent on police baby sitting these brats, er, protestors. Enough emergency calls to firefighters, ambulance, and police stalled by blocked streets. Enough WORKING people missing hours of work due to blocked streets. The little darlings chained themselves in the middle of the main intersection downtown here and it took most of the fire department and police to sort the mess out. Here! In Flagstaff, Arizona! In a town where we aleady have a deficit and can't afford this crap. Well, I, for one, would like to see the return of the firehose, water cannons, tear gas grenades, rubber buckshot, and dogs for these jerks. Enough of this streetblocking crap! Freedom of speech does NOT mean you can stop other people from going to work or getting rapid response from firefighters when their :cuss: house is on FIRE!!!!!!!! ENOUGH OF THIS CRAP!!!!! Rubber buckshot, followed by plastic buck, followed by birdshot. These punks need to be sent home. These brats are doing more and more as they get away with more and more. The situation is beyond peaceful protest, its starting to turn into a series of riots. Nip this crap in the bud, before hard-working Americans get their businesses burned by these jerks. Because that's what's going to happen if these brats leashes aren't jerked short. RUBBER BUCKSHOT!!!!!!!!
Ok, rant off...

Fire hoses will do the job just fine. Anybody who gets in the stream of a high pressure fire hose will NEVER want to repeat the experience. :neener:

"You know what? Flush those polls. We’re in a war against
terrorism. If you don’t want to fight the vile murderers, get the hell
out of the way. Go visit Paris. Or Antwerp. Or Berlin. Or
Moscow. And stay there. Forever. But this time, don’t call us
when the Visigoths are at the gates."
I don't know who these people think they are... come with the fire hoses!!

Sir Galahad hit it on the head with the term "brats." In my local newspaper today (the Santa Barbara News Press, which I believe outshines the New York Times as worst newspaper in America) one of the leading local brats had this to say about the "die-ins":
"I think what you're seeing now is the first of an outward reaction, an emotional response of people who are just really frustrated by what's happening and really pissed off that no one seems to be listening."
Couldn't he have just said, "We're throwing a tantrum because no one will do what we want" and saved on words?

Nah, self-defeating. They are spoiled, soft children who do not understand the world. Let them have their whining.

I posted a similar thought on another thread and was taken to task by a youngster who accused me of wanting to live in a police state. You and I and a lot of others who have 'been around' for a while have perhaps actually seen such places...
I believe that a vast, overwhelming majority of folks understand the fact that there is a definite distinction between 'civil disobedience' and 'civil unrest', but some in the 'peace' movement do not...or, perhaps more menacingly, they do and are deliberately blurring the definitions for their own satisfaction.
Bear in mind what one-shot-one mentions...there are six billion humans on the planet and some fraction of the tens of thousands of 'peace' protestors are responding to a media and leftist organizational drive to combine bad behavior and political theater in the name of 'peace'. It suits some folks to justify their personal hubris by claiming to occupy the moral high ground while exhibiting the behavior of a spoiled three-year-old....perhaps tantrums worked for them?
My choices (in preferred order of deployment) are:
gas
water cannon
dogs (they really work for clearing off the streets!)
batons
By now all the reasonable protestors and prudent revolutionaries will have grasped the distinction between 'civil disobedience' and 'civil unrest', and will have gone home to watch events unfold on T.V.;)
For the remaining anarchists and looters, 'black blockers', etc...
feel free to use your imagination.:scrutiny:

Sir Galahad,
Greetings to thee......indeed I do live in a police state somewhere in Asia. Here's what went down in the motherland when GWII was building up momentum.
A local survey group asked around and found out that 60% of local respondants were "pro-peace" and only about 30% of my countrymen supported war. (I personally HATE saddam would like to see his a** kicked HARD. :fire: ) This being the case, a few small groups tried to organise a protest march but the cops showed up and arrested the protesters just as the demonstration was in it's embryonic stage. (The local pro-US government then issued a statement reminding the sheeple that ALL protests were ILLEGAL regardless of reason.)
A representative from the interior ministry then said on national TV that any and all protest leaders would be rounded up, *questioned*, and then chucked into prison without trial for as long as el presidente deemed appropriate. Any future demonstration found brewing would be tear gassed, water cannoned, sicked with dogs, beatened with clubs and if nothing else worked, a contingent of mercenaries would charge in with machetes and LIVE ammo. He didn't say it in those words but he made it clear that ABSOLUTE peace and calm WOULD be the order of the day NO MATTER THE COST.
It was later reported that peace gatherings were held in private residences. These were tolerated by the authorities as they didn;t want to scare foreign investors.
I like liberty as much as any other man but bleeding heart liberals and ignorant communists piss me off. :cuss:
