After field striping and cleaning my glock, is there any cleaning that should be done to the slide internals back around the firing pin? Any one know of a good website that shows/explains how to do this?

Thanx,
Gavin

Go here to see how to take a Glock fully apart:

Looks remarkably similar to the same answer to the same question on TFL! :)

Beyond a basic field strip, the only parts I've found on the Glock to need a detail strip to clean are the extractor (and associated nooks and crannies in the slide) and trigger group. You shouldn't NEED to clean these parts very often, but it can't hurt as long as you follow the great instructions from Glockmeister.

If you're doing this more often than every few thousand rounds, you're doing it for yourself and not for the pistol. ;)
