In two different guns with reloaded ammo being the same, what is the lost velocity between a revolver and 1911 with co  mparable barrel length?

Velocity loss or gain works out to around 50 fps per inch of barrel.

However, in this case the revolver has the longer barrel (revolver barrels are measured to the breech end of the barrel, not to the recoil shield.) A 5" barrel revolver would have a "barrel" over 6 inches long, if you included the length of the cylinder.

You might lose a little velocity at the cylinder gap, but the longer effective barrel length would make up for it.
