I'm 5'7" or (5'8" if I'm having a particularly proud moment :p ) and have never really though about it quite this in depth.

I do prefer the 1911, but I really like the CZ/EAA platform, of course, more than half of my CZ design guns have been single action so would have a shorter distance to the trigger. P32 is no problem, Glocks are no problem, never cared for SIGs, never cared for H&K USPs, never like Ruger centerfire pistols...

Hrmm... You might be on to something. :scrutiny:

5'8"

on a standard keyboard I can easily stretch my pinky to thumb from the "a" to the enter button.

hey feel lucky , just because I can palm a basketball doesn't mean I can shoot any weapon, alot of them I have to use the second section instead of the tip of the digit to shoot , which ticked some instuctors off .

Bookman,
I know what you mean. I am 5'11" but I guess I just like to get more of my finger on the trigger than just the tip.

Just like you, there are certain guns that I think are great but have too long of a trigger reach.
CZ-75,85,40

All SIGs except 239 and 230

Rugers P95s are O.K. for me but the larger ones are not comfortable.

Why does CZ need to make such a long trigger reach? I would buy a CZ-75 if it had a decent length trigger.

The good news is, there are plenty of guns that fit and in some ways, it helps narrow down the choices to a managable level.

I'm 5'5" but have long and nimble fingers. Years of piano, banjo, guitar, fiddle, mandolin, etc. stacked up.

I'm 5'10" but have kinda chubby/chunky fingers. Haven't found a gun that I can't comfortably reach, but some aren't comfortable grip wise anyways...

And I can't stretch my pinky and thumb from the "a" to the "enter" But then again, my thumb moves so little on the main joint, I can't even make my thumb touch the base of my pinky finger where it meets my palm.

Try the Beretta Vertec. Its straight back grip might be what you're looking for.:)
