I just bought the RCBS 304 scale at a garage sale. It look like a good scale but the owner tried, at one time, to balance it by loosening a small rod that goes through the rear of the balance beam. I can now zero it with the knob at the very rear of the balance beam. I have a scale weight check set and when I put any of the weights in the scale it will not even be close. I think the small rod with a knurled nut at each end that goes through the rear of balance beam which is loose is my problem. If anyone has ever adjusted this particular scale, or knows how, I would appreciate any info.
