I don't actually own any guns, but I thought you guys would get a real kick out of something a family member of mine did.
My grandfather died last year of prostate cancer at 82. But through his whole life he's always been a staunt Republican. He was born in Missouri, joined the Navy in the 40s during WW2, joined the Naval Secret Service, and then served in the CIA for 25 years through the height of the Cold War.
When he was retired, during the Clinton Administration, there was some legislation that was going through attempting to restrict the purchase of guns? I don't think it was the James Brady Bill... maybe something after that?
In any case... in defiance of that, he went out and bought a Colt 45, and a 357 Magnum that he used to keep in his cabin in West Virginia.
I always used to get such a kick out of the fact that he did that because it was a pure act of defiance in relatiation of the threatening of our constitutional rights!!!
Anyway, I don't own any guns, unless you count a Paintball gun as one??
But, I'm a new member.... so, hi...
