I was flipping through a Gun magazine tonight, I cannot recall which one, and I came across a "Stopping Power" article. The writer was quite impressed with Winchester (I believe) 9mm expander ammo. I must say the picture of the fired round was impressive. Can anyone tell me more about this ammo? Thanks.

All the ammo companies fire their hollowpoint and softpoint bullets into gelatin and get pictures of bullets with impressive expansion. It is a hotly competitive field and one brand is about as good as the next. Winchester Ranger T 127 grain 9mm has a good reputation in the class.

Jim is right - and actually in 9mm I am well impressed with Gold Dots - I use 115 and 124. Remarkably consistent in wetpack.

Yep. I'm sure the ammunition makers fire lots of one another's ammunition.

Detail, aptly named. Not going to solve this battle all the same. Lets just give the ammo perfomance testing criteria arguement a rest just this once.
