I have heard that the M1 90 can have cycling problems with things like lights.I don't know what ammo was used but i'd forget the light.

I have a Beretta 1201FP, which is really just an early design of the Benelli. I have 10 extra 12 gauge 00 buck shells hanging off of it and it will cycle the cheapest Walmart Federal/Winchester bulk back target loads. Now they don't exectly eject like brass from an AK but they eject all the time every time.
I would think if you just add a light you should be fine. I wouldn't add a light, shell carrier, fuzzy dice, etc. though.

I'm selling mine.
Works fine until you put the sidesaddle on it. Never had problems with buck or slugs but won't cycle bird (Walmart 100 value pack) 1/3 of the time.
I shoot the Walmart buck and slugs. Don't know if it's low recoil or not. I think they are $3.70 and come in a red box. They patterned well in my old gun.
