Michael Moore's "Crockumentary" "Bowling for Columbine," is one of the Academy Awards' nominees for Best Documentary. With all the hoopla from the Cannes Festival, hype from entertainment industry sycophants and H'wood's near hysterical obsession regarding any 2nd Amendment issue, he's the odds-on favorite to receive the award. Knowing how he butchers reality with his style of unethical and disingenuous cut and paste satire cum revisionist historical narrative, it would show the hubris of and bigoted ignorance of the voting members of Academy, should he win. Having just read the well-researched and damning critique by David T. Hardy, it is my opinion, that it should not have even received a nomination, let alone all the adulation. It is, to say the least, an abominable, slanderous, libilous fraud in the same category as Michael Bellisiles' "Arming America." Michael Moore should be taken out to the proverbial woodshed then tarred and feathered and paraded naked on a leash down Hollywood Blvd. He is, at his core, corrupt, contemptible and without any socially redeeming value.

Remember that Mikey Moore doesn't have to stand up for his work in any forumn outside the Media Industry. There is no way that you can effectively expose this type of propoganda.

Yep, he won. And he made a baffling speech about the "fictition of duct tape" and how Bush was a "fictitious President." He shouted "Shame on you!" at our President, and he said that anytime you "have the Pope and (someone) against you, your days are numbered!"
And he was booed off the stage.:what:

Actually, guys, the nice thing is that he DID say those things to the biggest possible audience that he could have gotten. More people saw and heard him run his mouth tonight than would have ever seen his wretched film or really knew much about him at all. With no provocation, on the day of the war that (so far) the US has sustained the most casualties, Michael Moore put down the president, the electoral system (how many times do you have to have a re-count, anyway...until you get the result you agree with, I guess), the war...
What sort of reception do you think this POS is going to get from people after this?
Rosie was pretty popular until she ambushed Tom Selleck (although she had a lot of problems, anyway) on nationwide TV.
Michael Moore proved himself to be what he truly is to the biggest audience that he could ever get.
I wonder what might happen to the guy if some Iraqi war vets get ahold of him sometime down the road?

I was so mad when he started his BS speech about "fake elections" that I turned off the TV... too bad I missed seeing him booed!! Well, after watching most of the Oscars, I've decided never to pay to see another movie in a theater again. I'm sorry I've supported this bunch of over-paid, spoiled, ignorant buffoons for so long!!

Good points, Harold Mayo! :D
Mickey Moore would not get a glance from an Iraqi War vet any different than would be given to a giant Florida cockroach.
I doubt that any of them would want to touch him because something totally disgusting would contaminate them or their gear.

Mr. Mayo, sir I think I did hear a nail in his coffin, well said sir!!
Not so you people think I'm cultured or anything, but I prefer live theatre. I can attend a play at the college, or childrens theatre for less money and be better entertained. $6 Swiss Family Robinson and took my nephew, and , and get this, they shot guns in this thing, noise smoke and all.;)

Speaking of facts, Fox is reporting that MM was cheered, not booed.
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,81908,00.html
Bowling for Columbine won the award for Best Documentary, and that led very vocal director Michael Moore to the podium.Acknowledging that he’d won the award for a non fiction time, he observed that “these are fictitious times with a fictitious president now conducting a war for fictitious reasons.” Watching generals and other military personnel as consultants on TV also came under his criticism. “I would like the US military to withdraw from the media,” Moore said. He also observed that a “lesson for the kids from Columbine is that violence is an accepted means to resolve a conflict.” Moore concluded with his denouncement of the Bush administration: “Anytime you have the pope and the Dixie Chicks against you, you’re not long for the White House.” The audience cheered Moore’s statements, just as they approved other similar pronouncements by screenwriter Mike White (The Good Girl) and a statement from the board of the IFP West read by actor Don Cheadle.
Thank God there's message boards like THR that tell the real truth rather than the pap the media spews out. I'm disappointed (but not surprised) that Fox lied about what really happened.

The audience cheered Moore’s statementsIt should have said that some of the attendees cheered Michael Moore.
It was about 40% cheering and clapping vs. about 60% booing.

I saw the tape on FNC. He got seriously booed. It was LONG and LOUD and those that didn't boo looked p***ed, shocked or had a "you're an ***" look on their faces.
They also laughed their butts off when Steve Martin did the "putting him in his trunk" line.
I think MM just had a major ND into his foot on world wide television.

You know, if he's given enough rope, he just might eventually hang himself in the court of public opinion.
Moore is self-inflated sanctimonious jerk who hides his vindictiveness under a layer of folksy blue-collar blubbering.

From Fox News web site.
It says he was cheered and booed. Maybe the broadcast talking heads said something different, but their site says both.

------------------------------------------------------------
Moore, who directed the anti-gun documentary Bowling for Columbine blasted President Bush for the war in Iraq. "We live in a time, where we have a man sending us to war for fictitious reasons," Moore said from the stage. "We are against this war Mr. Bush. Shame on you, Mr. Bush. Shame on you!"
Moore was greeted by both loud boos and cheers from the audience in Hollywood, notorious for being sympathetic to liberal causes.
