Saw this and it sure looks interesting, sort of a polychoke that can be inserted in a barrel set up for screw in chokes. Natchez has it on sale for $79.86 and I was thinking of getting it for my Benelli M1 S90 Practical that I want a tighter choke for. The concept really intrigues me, just curious if someone has experiance with this, or at least the old polychoke and could comment on how well they work.
Thanks,

Way back when, lots of Polychokes were installed on repeaters for a multi-use shotgun.
Some researchers claimed they didn't give quite as good a pattern as a fixed choke did. Also, the markings on the choke were often wildly wrong.
Slug use meant being certain that the choke was quite open, those "Petals" could break off otherwise.
I've had two shotguns with these devices, a Model 11 and a Mossie bolt action. I had the B/A barrel shortened for slug use.
On the 11, I found the thing distracting with all that metal sitting out there. OTOH, one of my best hunting buds had one on his A-5, and he was deadly with the thing.
As for this, no experience, but it is an intriguing idea.
HTH...
