How do add an avatar?

I've tried to add my usual avatar. No luck.
I also read the FAQ. How do you add an avatar at this site?

Just curious, but didn't the fact that no one else on this forum have any type of avatar kinda tip you off that they were verboten? :scrutiny:

Avatars are disabled on this site.I'm actually kinda thankful for that--no one misinterprets a small, grainy image, and you don't have to fiddle with it. Just names and whatever else anyone decides to fill out.

no one misinterprets a small, grainy image, and you don't have to fiddle with it. Only clueless n00bs have small, grainy images for avatars. Those of who've been online for awhile will have high resolution, animated images to misinterpret. :neener:

Not having 'em does save on the bandwidth and load times, as well as CPU load on older client machines.
