Brand of ammo, not rifle? Hunting what, deer, elk?
Any reputable brand is fine; my experience has been that I want a semi-premium bullet that doesn't come apart at magnum velocities and make a mess. I prefer 180 grains, but many people prefer lighter bullets for deer. Just remember, the lighter it is, the higher the velocity, and the bigger mess if it's not a tough bullet. Nosler Partition or Accubond, Barnes X, Swift Scirocco, Hornady Interbond, Remington CoreLokt Ultra, Winchester Partition Gold, etc.

for deer or antelope, i really like a hornady btsp or sierra gameking btsp at 180 grains.
if you drop to a 165 or 150, bullet construction becomes lighter, so you may have some nasty failures at close range. for that reason, i run 165 barnes xlc's if i want a light pill.
for elk, i'll defer to someone w/ more experience.

Whichever brand and load shoots best in your rifle. Mind you, you don't need a .300 mag for deer or antelope. Nor elk or moose either.
