I went with $200.00, telling myself I did NOT need another gun right now and there was nothing that I would see that would change my mind... WELL, on the first row of tables, I find a guy with a Smith&Wesson 610 3". It was in great condition, with some ammo, a bunch of moon clips, and a nice custom made leather holster... I got him down to a price less than I have seen ANY 610 for. How fast do ya think I said, "here's a $100, hold it for me, I'm going to the atm and will be RIGHT back" I am still giddy over this gun!

Madhatta- you may have gotten a SMOKIN’ hot deal. Did you happen to notice if inside the crane area, if the model was a 610-1? And you’re positive it was a 3” barrel?

If so you’re a very lucky man. According to the standard catalog of Smith & Wesson, only 300  with 3” barrels were manufactured for Lou Horton in 1998 and that my friend makes me very jealous.

Good gun in any event

I don't need any more and am not looking for any revolvers.

Having said that, I really want a 4" or 5" 625-2 and a 6" 610.

quarterboregunner,
I can't recall what the # is on the inside; I will look when I get home tonight (hopefully, out of work early enough today to shoot it!!!). But it is the 3" Horton model. The guy said the only reason he was letting it go is because he got the 6" for hunting and just didn't want to keep both.
Yup, I do feel lucky.
