Well, my girlfriend just got a taurus .38 special. I only saw it for a minute and i don't know much about revolvers. It had a short barrel (3 inches) and it said Aussie (sp? Aussi) on the wood grip. It held 5 rounds.

I don't know anything else, it was her grandpas. Oh, and is it a decent gun?

Sounds like a Model 85. I had a 3 inch M85 that I gave to my son. It's a very good revolver.

guess it doesn't matter. I just found out tonight that her mom won't let her have it because it was her dad's. We are going to missouri for the second year for college and she was going to use it as protection. I play baseball so there are a lot of nights when she is alone. Well, i don't think her pug puppy will help her out much, but it will have to do.
