I'm not sure how this one is going to turn out. I was not happy with the hollow grind on my Endura Wave so I impulsively decided to do something about it. I can already tell it's going to slice ten times better. It's just going to need some polishing work for sure.

An easy way to polish it after the belt sander is to use every finer grits of wet/dry paper used in the automotive industry. Get the carborundum paper up to about 2000 grit at an auto store. Lay it on a piece of 1/4 plate glass and hone it with each grit. Finish it off on an old leather belt with emery powder rubbed in. It will shine like a mirror and be really sharp. I use that technique on my chisels and knives. Makes cutting things a pleasure.

Just to be clear, the wave feature came on the knife. It's an Endura Wave, 1 of 500. It USED to say 'Emerson pat. No. X' on the blade.

I know some people mod regular spydercos to be waved, including me, but note the thumbhole is intact on this specimen.
