How much do Valmet M82 rifles go for these days? I've got one that I might sell, but don't know how much to ask. I am not soliciting bids, just trying to find the value on it. It's in average condition, not a safe queen, but anally maintained. :D

If it's really been anally maintained, it's only worth about $220.

Sorry... feeling quite juvenile today.

There are have been a few for sale on gunsamerica.com lately. Asking anywhere between $2000-$2900.

Whats the difference between a valmet 76 and an 82?

A 71 or 76 is, reportedly, the highest quality AK action made to date. Was made in 7.62x39, 223, 308.

An 82 is a bullpup. Isn't 223 all that was offered in the 82 Techbrute? Uses M16 mags, don't it?

yanky, it's the 76. There are quite a few around. But there are yet the 92's (most popular in the local 3-gun) and the military-only 95... beautiful. But the 95 was only a small batch that went to the Finnish Army, since then there will be no more. :(

But still, the 82 bullpup is a true curio. I wouldn't sell one if I were starving.

There's the 62 and 71 also. Same basic rifle as the 76 though. Became quite a guru of Valmets back when I had my 78. Badmammajamma that beast was, in 308. Could never get to love it because of the cost of mags though - anywhere between $100-150 a piece for a 20rd 308 mag, converted or not.

Traded it for 4 rifles and a pistol. Keep that 82 awhile Techbrute.

I think you will get $1500n out of state and it's Illeagal to sell that to ANYONE IN CALIF. I'd love to trade you a neat Yugo 7.62 Drugonov and a Hunky ak-47 but what you registered in Ca. in 2000 is what you are stuck with, NO INHERITANCES either.
