Been thinking about buying a 1911 in .45. So how many more rounds can I get with going with a 40?

My .40 S&W Trojan 6.0 holds nine rounds, so you get either one or two additional rounds, depending upon whether you use seven-round or eight-round .45 ACP magazines.
There are not a lot of choices for the .40 S&W in the 1911. I know Kimber (and remember when Kimber was dumping .40 S&W Series I pistols) and Colt made them, and STI still does. I do not know if SA ever offered the 1911 in .40 S&W.

Springfield did offer in 40 SW. There are two here
in Toledo. They appear to be loaded models.

The standard mags hold one more round of 40 than 45.

Mine holds 16+1 rounds of .40, but I am converting it to 10mm. I love the fat grip.
