On the news this morning were two sad stories. A domestic bison became enraged and killed a woman. The second was a tiger , often used for highschool graduation photos. A girl sat astride the tiger when thr tiger looked at her she became frightened and screamed . The tiger instantly killed her, The handler could do nothing. ....They may be 'domesticated' or 'trained ' but they are not tamed !!

Scare any cat and it'll run or fight. The tiger didn't like the kid screaming in his ear. He reacted the way cats react.
"...A domestic bison..." A North American Bison, correct? No such thing as a domestic buffler. Mind you, a Holstein bull can kill just as fast as a bison.

My understanding is that the bison ranchers around here are a LOT more cautious about getting into the same enclosure with the animal than they would be with cattle.
