I want one of these for playing around with. I don't know anything about them though, anyone know which ones are good?

It depends on how much money you are willing to spend on it.
A good quality plastic spring gun (must be manually cocked after each shot) can be had for $20
A heavy metal spring gun with realistic weight and trigger pull can be $40
A quality gas operated blow-back semi-auto will run you anywhere from $80 to $250

I'm no expert, but after having wasted money on the spring guns only to later discover the joys of a gas gun after purchasing a full/semi auto KWA M11, my advice to you is to forget the spring guns and put the money down for a semi-auto 1911 gas gun.
With the semi-auto feature, circa 300+ FPS velocity and reciprocating slide, you'll be glad you shelled out the extra dough when you get time to actually play with it.
