I quit

Trying out different guns. I've tried shooting Kahrs, Glocks, and Sigs and can't shoot them worth a darn. I have a Kahr I carry but it is filling a whole.
I just bought a K9 went to the range and shot shotgun patterns. I picked up my Kimber and shot a inch and a half group.
I'm sticking to my 1911s. They seem to shoot naturally for me and I'm not going to fight it anymore.

I hear ya!!! My first pistol was a Ruger MKII 22 lr with the 5 1/2" bull barrel and target sights. It was a breeze to shoot. I got a S&W 669 next. It was their shorty 9mm and I could not shoot it worth a damn. I got a Colt Gold Cup 45 ACP next and shot it great right off the bat. The snappy recoil of that shorty nine made me flinch like mad. I got my then girlfriend (now wife) a Beretta 92FS, a little time later, and took a while to adjust to it.

For accuracy, trigger quality, feel in the hand, and pure pleasure of shooting, nothing compares to a 1911... my Colt 1911's are my #1 handguns.

I wonder where you got the carry gun .vs range gun idea?
Just made it up did you?
Thanks for your contribution.

Stick with what works. I love my SIG and shoot it well. As well as I shoot anything, anyway. If your 1911 is what you shoot best, that should tell you something.

Sounds like somebody needs to swap the Kahr on the micro-compact GI model from Springfield.
When you find something you like, and it works well, why change it?

The Prodigal Son returns! Welcome back into the fold, good son. Stray not further, but rather bask in the love of thine family.
Took a Glocker shootin' a while back. He'd never handled a 1911. Heard they were unreliable pieces of puckey not even in the same league. It took
less than 25 rounds for him to say: "Wow!" I was proud of the lad...but he shot up over half of my ammo! :D

LOL I hear ya..
check my thread over at the Handgun G.D.
I'm contemplating selling off 3 guns to fund a Les Baer. :D
Nothing else comes close to the way a 1911 shoots and feels. ".... Like warm apple pie...."

But wait!! You haven't tried the CZ, or the HK, or Ruger, or, or...or...a Makarov!!! Yeah, a Mak-you'll LOVE the Mak!! There's nothing so reliable and easy to shoot as a.....

I hear you. I started off carrying a SIG 225. Great gun, but after shooting the 1911 and feeling the trigger difference that was enough for me. For years I heard people saying "What about that first double action pull?" I never thought it was a big deal until I found out what else was out there.
I haven't totally given up on other models though, those HK p7s are pretty fantastic as well. I doubt I'll ever let go of my 225, but it certainly hasn't seen leather in a long time.
Plus my dad was so happy that I started carrying a 1911 that he bought me a crapload of ammo :D

Silly Tuner! Going to the range with less than 50 rounds and a Glocker. You know those boys are all "spray and pray".
What's next? Pimping out Sistemas in .38 Stupid??? :what:

but I shoot pretty decently with whatever is in my hand at the time (and I just realised that's a "loaded" statement!).
Nonetheless, my old S&W 469, my older HK P7, my newer S&W 340 or my newest Para C-6...can all put some paper in some serious pain! (and in the case of the 340, can put my hand in some serious pain too!)
