I finally got my new Ruger KP89 stainless with manual safety. This is the first handgun I have ever owned. Needless to say, I am filled with pride and joy. :D

The next step is to spiff it up a bit. Accessorize, accessorize. I am thinking wrap-around rubber grip, because even the Ruger handle is not big enough for perfect hold for me. What do you guys think? :D

i put a hogue on my P95 and i love it... there isn't much else, however you can do to one of these is there?

if the trigger pull is like my p95 then it is fine... no accessory rail for a tac light, what else is there?

There are several different sets of sights available as well as extra magazines
and,of course, holsters. Hogue makes grips for this in rubbber as well as wood,
Pachmayr also makes grips for these guns. I have a kp90D which I've placed hogue grips on and it's pretty nice.

I never could warm up to those huge ruger pistolas, they are like the Chrysler 300Cs of guns but without the good looks and classy styling. Which leaves you with a big beefy tank of a car, or in this case, gun.

I put bicycle inner tube cut outs on all my guns. Cheaper than a hogue and thinner too.

Congrats on your first gun. I remember that feeling, such a great feeling!

Best accessory is to buy a buncha ammo either online or thru wal mart and shoot the bejeezus outta it.

Get a good cleaning kit and keep the gun well lubed. Those Ruger pistols are quite strong and can handle many rounds. A reliable gun that'll last a lifetime, including your grandkids too if you take care of it.

Good luck :)
