My old book shows (1999) $295... They come in 4, 6, or 8.38 inch barrels Blue or nickel finish. Wood checkered grips, adj rear sights and red ramp front sight. They call it Distinguished Combat Magnum.... .357 caliber 6 shot.

Hopefully, someone will be able to give you a more current pricing. If you take my number and add 12% (4% inflation x 4 years) your about $340.00. Keep in mind that overall condition will pay into the value of the piece,

Enjoy....;)

Mikey357, I was the buyer and just wanted a little re-assurance that I did not get taken. Many thanks.

Hey Monster let me know what you are looking for mebey I can find you a deal. Prices do seem geographical guns that sell high here I see cheaper in other parts of the country.

That seems like a really good price on a REALLY good gun. I was looking for a target .357 or .38 a few weeks ago and the 586/686 was at the top of my list. If I had seen one with a 6" bbl in the condition you describe at that price, it would now be mine. You did very well.

You have one of the very best .357s every made. Should be target accurate and a joy to own.

Congrats on finding a gem at a nice price.

Thanks guys, I shot it at lunch and firestar you are right. It has to be the nicest shooting stock 357 that it has been my pleasure to own.
