Tell me about the P99 QA. CDNN has some good prices on them, and it has me with a jones for another walther. I have a P99 DA/SA, was just wondering how different the trigger is on the QA.

The trigger takes a little getting used to. It's kind of like the Glock and XD triggers, in that it has to be cocked first before it will fire. Retracting the slide a 1/4" of an inch is enough to accomplish this. I think the pull is mentioned as being around 7lbs on the Walther website, but I'm not positive. There really isn't much takeup before you start feeling the weight of the trigger. I'd say it starts within an 1/8" of trigger movement. I'm not sure it's possible to stage this trigger like you would with a DA, there just isn't enough movement for that.

Love the grip. Probably the best thing about the P99 is the grip. Those backstraps make a world of difference. A lot of other companies are starting to copy that. My P2000 has them and they make a difference.

The Quick Action trigger is Walther's answer Glock's trigger and is simliar. Its a steady pull in between DA and SA. Its sort of like a light DAO trigger.
