Which would you choose for $125 plus tax?

Used Marlin 25nm with a Tasco Pronghorn scope. In great shape.

New Marlin 982.

I can get either one for $125. Which would you pick?

A Mosin M-44, 91/30, or M-38 for $80, and 500 rds of Silver Bear 7.62x39 for $45, = $125.

Or, if I have to stick with the choices you mentioned, I'd go with the used Marlin with the scope. Everyone needs a good .22!

I have several SKSs and a case full of Mosins including a 91 (not a 91/30 but a real 91 and a Finn).

If you notice there were only TWO choices given. Please pick from one of the two if you have any experience with either model.

close call...what kind of rings are on the 25? I would think that *IF* the scope and rings are satisfactory for you (i.e. if you're not going to replace them), then the former is probably better.
