I'm looking for an Ithaca Mag 10 Road Blocker. Can they still be found, where is a good place to look, what are they going for these days? All I can find are the standard mag 10's. Any help would be appreciated.

Can't help you as to where, but the weapon sure sounds some kinda painful :scrutiny: :)

They're now made by Remington as the SP-10. See here (http://www.remington.com/firearms/shotguns/sp10.htm) for details.

The Road Blocker, Preacher, was the tactical version. IIRC, 22" barrel and not much choke. 3 shot capacity, but with that howitzer how many do we need?

Haven't seen one in years. Some folks bought longer barrels and untacticalled them.

The Ithaca wasn't perfect, but nothing except its Remsib delivers as much as fast.

Not dissing your Brownings. But, the Mag 10 takes enough out of the kick to speed up recovery on second shots.

I shot geese a decade and more ago with a Mag 10 owner. We swapped out shotguns for a few birds, and while it took a few shots for me to get used to the big gun I liked the way it delivered teacups full of BBs to the same place and time as goose heads.

And, it took 10 or 11 shots for my usual 10 gauge headache to show up, Other 10s, it takes two.

If I had the time and money to become a full time goose chaser, something like the big Ithaca would be in order. Along with a Mec Steelmaster and LOTS of components.....

I shoot a BPS browning 10 gauge 30" on all my waterfoul and turkey. I DO, however, have an extra barrel with rifle sights for ???? :p

Intersesting. Thanks for the comments. I just want one to have one. They're cool and really big. I have no particular use or need, I just want one. And I like Ithaca, they made good guns.
