Tuner after I have read your post on Magazines. I have a blue Springer mag that didn't fuction properly. I replace the spring in it with Wolff Extra Power 11#. This got the mag up and running, Well my Springfield Mil-Spec had a coupon for these mags @ $9.00 each and got ten. then ordered more springs from Wolff. Today they performed perfect, My Mil-Spec has passed the 2000 round mark today. But I also learned about the dimple follower and the 7 round mag, and taught this lesson with my shooting buddy who was having problem with his McCormicks Power Mags. After switching to my Dimpled Springers his problems went away. Now how can I loosen up my thumb safety? it take a great effort to engage and to disengage. After that my Springer will be perfect, since after shooting it the creep is almost gone.

Uh-oh...Stand by for a scorchin' from the 8-round fans! :neener:
Yeah...That dimple and enough spring works like magic for feed problems.
Your partner can upgrade the Powermags with a follower from Metalform. The spring is probably okay as is...but not quite as good as the 11-pound Wolff.
On the thumb safety thing...Probably time and a little wear will take care of it.
Remove the slidestop to get some tension off, add a drop of oil at the hard spot and work it up and down some. Add more oil every 10-12 cycles. Might loosen it up a little. If it doesn't improve soon, you can remove the safety and polish the area a little with some fine-grit paper on a toothpick. Careful! A little goes a long way. Look for roughness or burrs and focus on those first.
Then a general smoothing in the curve.
Welcome aboard SACOLT...GLad to have been of some help.
