Couldn't find any info with a search. I just this year purchased a Franchi Alcione in 12 gauge and started reloading for it.

Planning on using modified and full chokes since we tend to have a little longer shots where I usually hunt at. What kind of loads are you all using?

Unless they are a loong way out; 7 1/2s in a 1 1/8th load should be about right. Go to 6's if they are way out there. I use 1 oz of 8's on doves around vinyards here.

1 1/8 of 7 1/2 and 1 oz of 8's are the two I've been loading, was thinking about just doing a pile of the 7 1/2's to keep things simple. 6's seem a bit large for doves to me.

I might question the full/modified with 7 1/2 & 8 shot. I suspect with a full choke you'll run out of steam with the individual pellets before you run out of pattern.

Even at longer ranges, I suspect you'll have enough pattern density with IC and mod. If you really want to use full, I'd set a pattern board at 40 yards and see what you get. You may find that 6's will give a full enough pattern and lots more whack

I'd load them to the max speed I could get

If I get to the field I'll use 7/8 oz of 7 1/2s, and choke as needed. Probably start off with a LM at 14 POC.

One of the most effective dove loads ever is a good trap load. Hard round pellets and top components keep the pellets in the pattern so density's up.

I've used 6s in the past, I see no advantage on dove, though they work better on feral pigeons.
