Yikes attack

My nephew stopped late night the other night to pump gas. He is a Deputy Sheriff and he was standing outside his black SUV putting gas in when he heard a loud boom. He didn't know where this loud bang sound was, so he ducked to try to locate the source of the noise.

He scanned any visible traffic and whatever else that he could see but there was no further incident.

As he checked his vehicle, he noticed a baseball sized rock laying on the side of the driver's door and then he noticed the same sized dent on his driver's door. Apparently someone threw a rock at his SUV and scored a hit.

Sorry about the story, just relating an incident that could happen to anyone of us and in this case...luckily a gun wasn't needed.

You just never know when some miscreant will decide it is fun to damage someone elses property. Too bad your nephew didn't catch said scum-bum.

OK, now for the questions.

We need details. Was he in uniform? Was the gas place in a "bad" neighborhood? Is there somebody he has especially irritated recently? Do rock throwing incidents happen frequently out there? Is there any chance it was kicked up off the road by a passing vehicle? And most importantly, did he need to change his pants?
