Went to the social security office to get a new card yesterday, and was surprised by the sign out front. Your standard gov't building 'no weapons' sign, but with three pictures on it: A 1911, a Spyderco style clip knife... and a multitool.

Stand back folks, he's got a pair of pliers!

Bleh.

Got my number and came back later, sans Leatherman. Plenty of time, since it takes two hours to get through their waiting line anyway...

In addition to what sounds like some well-deserved assault charges, Russel Crowe was charged with fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon recently . . . the weapon was the telephone he used to smack a hotel employee.

No word on charges being filed on whoever made this weapon so readily available to anyone - even a child! - who could simply walk over and pick it up.

Eh? What? No pictures of sharp pencils?

I don't think Russell Crowe would have been charged with anything had he not turned the telephone into a weapon. I actually heard he could be hurt on this since he may have trouble getting back in the country if he has an assault conviction.

:barf: He's rich and elite, he won't have any trouble getting back in this country.

“Law”-abiding to a fault.

When you think about it, the only real dangerous weapon is the human mind---it can transform ANY object into a weapon, given the right motivation.

That's what I find so funny about TSA screening of airline passengers. They worry about knives, guns, knitting needles, nail clippers, etc.

Yet, there are literally DOZENS of other objects that would make EXCELLENT weapons that pass through un-noticed. (Ever see what a Compact Disc looks like once it's broken into two pieces--it would make a good substitute for a knife for stabbing/slashing.)

A weapon can be created from almost anything, given the proper thinking.

Heck, what about a bottle of whiskey from the duty-free?

Club, dagger, and incendary device all rolled into one.

And THERE YOU HAVE IT FOLKS!

The true agenda of the left is to slowly disarm us until they eventually disarm us by taking our minds ... either by mandatory drugging, or by "re-education" camps, or wholesale slaughter of those who insist on thinking for themselves.

I wonder if aluminum foil works as well... and is it shiny side out or shiny side in?

Russel Crowe? He and Tugger are Foighten' Round Tha World!

Really, can't anything be a weapon? How many threads after 9|11 were dedicated to improvising weapons out of ordinary household items in the event you were on a plane that got hijacked?
