Can't make it on a Saturday. Sundays are good. One of these days, I'll actually make it to a shoot.

September 1, 2005, 01:54 AM
You guys just meet up and shoot what you bring?

September 1, 2005, 02:54 AM
Yes. Usually we share. If you don't have any, don't worry. We usually have plenty of things to try. This way, we can see various things.

QBG usually brings his EBRs. I usually bring pistols and 22s, if I can make it.

September 1, 2005, 02:56 AM
Don't think I can ever make it to one of these shoots, but I'll try.

September 1, 2005, 02:00 PM
I think I can make that date. its the one september weekend I don't have a wedding

September 1, 2005, 05:12 PM
I believe madkiwi will be bringing his EBR and I have a lever action .22 at least. Plus we will at least have a couple of handguns, including a .22.

I'm trying to get some friends from LiveJournal to come along too. I posted about this here including pictures from the last THR gathering I went to (

September 1, 2005, 06:16 PM
I don't see any conflicting events on that weekend, so we'll see.

September 1, 2005, 06:39 PM
Its too bad they dont have a 300 yard range.

September 1, 2005, 08:47 PM
I just stumbled across this site. I didn't know there was a Los Altos range, but then I've only lived in the area for 12 years.

Do you guys just punch paper or do you use the tin can range? The tin can range looks like fun.

September 2, 2005, 03:07 PM
The Tin can range is a hoot!!! The last one I went to they filled up huge jugs of colored water and watched them explode :) :)

September 6, 2005, 02:12 AM
I have to work that weekend. :(

September 6, 2005, 02:17 AM
I should be able to make it that weekend.

September 6, 2005, 07:17 PM
No can do on that weekend.

September 6, 2005, 07:39 PM
Would it be any better for folks on the weekend of the 24th? If I don't hear anything, we'll keep it on the 17th.

September 7, 2005, 12:04 AM
I should be able to make it on the 24th. I have a new red dot mount on my 1919 I need to try out.

September 7, 2005, 01:39 PM
Can't make the 24th. Attending a shooting class in Ione.

September 7, 2005, 02:14 PM
I think I can make either weekend. The 17th with more probability than the 24th (my wife sometimes has a surprise.)

September 7, 2005, 08:18 PM
Considering I am debating the sanity/merits of purchasing a 1919a4 myself, I vote for whatever day sned45 can make it.

BTW, CDNN Investments had ORF 1919's in .308 for $999 in this month's catalog, $9.99 shipping. Of course an M2 tripod to sit it on is another $500, but one step at a time...

Still have not "pulled the trigger".

No weekend of Sept 24. Cow Palace show is happening that weekend. And I plan to drop a chunk of change at Miwall. My vote is for the 17th.

September 7, 2005, 08:58 PM
...or rather NOT slacking enough. I'll be watching to see what everyone decides on. 17th or 18th look good here.

Wish I could bring my new toy out to play (Serbu BFG-50) ...too bad it is not cool on most ranges we like to go to as a group. :(

Never been, but would be interested in the 24th. I'll be busy 17th and 18th. Can also bring a couple of new shooters of the female persuasion.

September 10, 2005, 04:44 AM
I used to live down on the end of Judah St. when I was out at Letterman in the 80ís. Does the National Parks still run the range down by Pacifica in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area? Park Rangers as range nazis. :barf:

September 10, 2005, 10:19 PM
I'm there.

Next sunday is bad... IPSC match at richmond... can't miss that.

September 13, 2005, 06:15 PM
What the consensus? Can we all agree on a date?

September 13, 2005, 11:58 PM
I'll be up at Los Altos R&G this Saturday the 17th. I'll be up there at 9:00am, but I have to leave around 11:00am. I'll bring along a couple of friends (one is a new shooter.) I'll bring a couple of C&R that I have, and some .22 -- nothing fancy.

If my wife has no plan for the following weekend, I'll be up there on the 24th too. :)

September 14, 2005, 01:10 AM
Ok so what is it? The 17th or the 24th? Either is good for me- heck I'll just show up for both.

ARs for everyone?

September 14, 2005, 01:41 AM
I've still got the 17th marked unless we (however decisions get made by this heavily armed rabble ;)) decide otherwise. Any plans for food? Nobody has mentioned a BBQ, but I will bring some snack food.

September 14, 2005, 01:49 AM

(Someone take the iniative to just declare either date as the day.

September 14, 2005, 05:07 PM
Looks like Sept 17th is the date.

Can I get a provisional attendance sheet?

September 14, 2005, 05:33 PM
Will be bringing my M4, various handguns etc.

Saturday AM.

September 14, 2005, 05:40 PM
Well, I was gonna edit my original post to add the date, but it seems I can't do that. If any mod wants to put Sept. 17th in the title, that would be good.

September 14, 2005, 06:21 PM
Damn. Can't make it.

September 14, 2005, 07:12 PM
I will bring Giant Fist...

Wish I could bring my new toy out to play (Serbu BFG-50) ...too bad it is not cool on most ranges we like to go to as a group.

Serbu, eh? I have a bunch of ammo for that thing rattling around somewhere... :)
