His public persona is that of an anti-corporate crusader from working-class Flint, Michigan, who wears a constant uniform of slouchy jeans, a plaid shirt and a Detroit Tigers baseball cap. But the real Michael Moore rides in limos and lives in a swanky $1.2 million Manhattan apartment. Moore's "blue collar bonhomie" is bunk. From the article by Debbie Schlussel

Fred Thompson said that Moore is insignificant and using his hour to make his statement.
He also said that in 4 or 5 years he will be making industrial safety films.
Funny.

David T. Hardy documents the fictitiousness. (http://www.hardylaw.net/Truth_About_Bowling.html)

Actually that probably wouldn't be funny at all. If he brings the same sort of (lack of) integrity to safety films that he does to his "documentaries" there are gonna be a lot of mutilated and dead industrial workers out there.

I thought it was very telling, as was the information about Polansky.

Moore's bogus arguments are very similar to:
A) The anti-islamist bigots. Just like their claims that Islam is inherently violent and xenophopic, he claims that the American philosophy of individualist self-determination is inherently violent and xenophobic.
B) The people who use out of context quotes to slander politicians.

Moore winning an Oscar is perfect. We all know he is worthy of being an ENTERTAINER and far from an objective documentary writer.

moores website has a recap of his oscar day. he says that it was some stagehands who were booing him and maybe one or two in the balcony. he said the entire floor gave him a standing ovation. funny cause the cameras only showed maybe 1/3 standing as he walked to the stage. 1/3 is not even the majority, nor is it really close to being more than 50%, which i would probably accept as being rounded up to say "the entire floor".
then he said that people started booing the booers, and it grew to where people were yelling and jeering.
but he must have realized he is not as beloved as he assumed, for he said that while everyone was making a ruccous, he thought to himself "i put on a tux for this?" if he truly thought people were booing the booers he wouldnt regret getting dressed up to accept an award for a fictional documentary.

I'll give him this: He knows an easy buck when he sees one. A $3 million budget? Puh-leese. Talk poor, live rich. Old story.
