Last 940 I sold was to a FFL dealer and he gobbled it up at $300 so I believe that's a good price--

I got mine a couple of years ago for (I believe) $260, and I thought that was a fine deal. They aren't getting any more plentiful (notwithstanding the new Taurus model due out this summer), so I would expect your price is a fine price.

I believe you will enjoy the gun. :)

I did a lot of homework and bought a new, in the case, unfired one for $425.

$300 for one in good shape is, in my opinion, a great price.

Check the timing and lock up of course, but these guns are heavy enough that they should last for a long time.

95% of the ballistics of a .357 in a two inch barrel with none of the punishment. You can buy new moon clips directly from S&W for under $10 for a pack of them.

Pretty much unavailable here in Northern Virginia.

I'd like to have one, but not at the prices ($500 isn't uncommon) for the very few that you do see.

I got lucky and found one with Crimson Trace laser grips for $200.00 used at a local gun range. The laser grips are going to one of my 38's since in 9mm has guite a bit of power behind it. With new moonclips it works like a charm.

That's disgusting, Crewzer!

Good catch.

sigh. I'd love to find one for that... :)
